Trust

Data security and compliance.

Your content is confidential. Your data is protected. Every project, every language, every time.

Confidentiality by default

Mutual NDAs on request. Every linguist and vendor signs binding confidentiality before project access.

ISO-aligned processes

Workflows aligned with the principles of ISO 17100 and ISO 18587 for translation and post-editing.

Purpose-limited AI data

Annotation datasets are used only to deliver your project, never to train Localyn or third-party public models.

Encrypted transfer

Files are exchanged over encrypted channels with access-controlled cloud storage and role-based permissions.

Vetted network

Identity verification, qualification checks, and ongoing performance monitoring for every linguist.

Cross-border care

Contractual safeguards for international transfers, and project scoping around residency requirements when needed.

1. Confidentiality by default

Every client engagement is covered by confidentiality terms in our Terms of Service, and we are happy to sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement before any content changes hands. Client content is shared only with the specific linguists and project managers directly assigned to that project.

2. Quality and process standards

Our linguistic workflows are aligned with the principles of ISO 17100 (translation services) and ISO 18587 (post-editing of machine translation output), covering translator qualifications, revision workflows, and project record-keeping.

3. AI training data and annotation

  • Purpose limitation: data submitted for annotation is used solely to deliver the agreed project.
  • Access control: datasets are accessible only to assigned annotators and reviewers within secure, permissioned environments.
  • Ethical sourcing: where we source or generate original data, contributors are informed of how their data will be used and fairly compensated.
  • Secure deletion: source datasets are deleted or returned according to your specified retention requirements once a project concludes.

4. Infrastructure and technical safeguards

Files are transferred over encrypted channels. Project data is stored on access-controlled cloud infrastructure with role-based permissions, so team members only see what is relevant to their assignment.

5. Vendor and linguist vetting

Every linguist and vendor in the Localyn network goes through identity verification, language qualification checks, a signed confidentiality agreement, and ongoing performance monitoring.

6. Regulatory alignment

We design our data handling with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, GDPR (for EU and UK data subjects), and industry-standard confidentiality practices in mind.

7. Incident response

In the event of a data security incident affecting your content, Localyn will notify affected clients without undue delay and take immediate steps to contain and remediate the issue.

8. Questions from your security team

If you need a completed security questionnaire, a signed DPA, or a call to walk through our practices, reach out to connect@localyn.in. We are glad to support your due diligence process.
